Human approval, enforced by the engine
Nothing a Magik Button drafts is ever sent or published until a person reviews and approves it — a rule the workflow engine enforces structurally, not a setting you have to remember.
The fear with AI tools is reasonable: what if it says something wrong, to my whole customer list, with my name on it?
LocalMagik's answer is architectural, not aspirational. Every button that sends or publishes anything has an approval gate — a step where the run stops and waits for a human. The steps that follow it (the email send, the post publish) are defined as depending on that approval, and the engine refuses to run them until it exists. This isn't a checkbox you can forget to tick; a button definition that tried to send without an approval gate would fail validation before it ever went live.
Two principles fall out of this:
Accountability — every run is owned by the person who clicked it. The record shows what was drafted, what was edited, who approved it, and when it shipped.
Drafts, not decisions — AI at LocalMagik produces drafts for review, never actions. The judgment stays with the owner, which is exactly where your customers assume it is.
It's the difference between hiring a brilliant assistant and handing a stranger your email password.
Questions, answered
Can AI send something without my approval?
No. Any step that sends or publishes is structurally dependent on an approval step. The engine will not execute a send until the review it depends on has been approved by a person. There is no auto-send mode to accidentally leave on.
Who can approve a run?
The person who owns the run — the one who clicked the button — or a workspace admin. Every run records who triggered it and who approved it.
What if I don't like the draft?
Edit it, or request changes and let Magik redraft. Approval is the moment you own the words — nothing counts until you say so.
Why does this matter for a small business?
Because everything a button ships carries your name and your reputation. AI drafting saves you the hour; your approval keeps the judgment, the tone, and the accountability yours.
